This week has been full of meetings and I'm so excited to dive into all of the projects and events coming up. I had my first PRSSA PRoud council meeting, WSO had their first executive meeting, we've picked our client and I'm starting my internship again this week.
The World Student Organization is gearing up for our first meeting on September 18 and events starting in November. We've got a lot of work to do but I'm optimistic that this year could be a good year for the organization. I think that our executive board is on the same page on how we want things to run and how we want to improve the organization.
I'm excited to work with Mimi's House of Hair as our client. I am a little worried because as of the time this was posted we still haven't gotten a response back from them. However, I think that once we get the ball rolling things are going to go great.
Wednesday, I met with my boss, Joe Dunay, about what my internship will look like this semester in terms of workload and assignments. Because of some unforeseen circumstances my internship will be ending sometime this semester which I am somewhat grateful for. I love working for the county foundation and having Joe as a professional mentor has been amazing. However, I have a lot on my plate, and I think trying to stay on top of a remote internship all year might push me over the edge.
I know it's just the beginning of everything, but I almost can't wait to see it all come to fruition. I think my biggest challenge though will be managing my time and stress levels. Because of this I know that I need to do everything that I can to stay ahead of the game.
Aside from all of the activities I got to spend time with family over the weekend. It was great to have everyone together and to get to see my cousins and some extended family. On Wednesday, Evan and I got the opportunity to go on a date which was amazing because our schedules almost never align. We went to see Beetlejuice Beetlejuice and even though we missed the first couple of minutes we both enjoyed the movie and had a good time.
I relate to you a lot with feeling like my calendar is so full! There are so many great things this semester but sometimes it can be overwhelming. In the end, it will all come together. Enjoy all the little moments throughout the year and keep working hard!
