This past week hasn't been very eventful. I scheduled for classes and was able to get most of the ones I wanted which was good. I had to ask for a waiver for one of the classes I needed but everything else went smoothly. I also discovered I need to get a course request because I'll be over by one credit hour because of the Peer Mentor Program but it's a non-billable credit hour which is a plus.
Sunday, I went home for a little bit to visit my family (mainly my mom). While I was there it happened to come up in conversation how I've had her vacuum in my room for a month and needless to say she was not impressed. Especially since I just took it and didn't tell anybody. In my defense, I live 15 minutes down the road, and I had expected to bring it back earlier. Because I was still using her vacuum, she gave me my Christmas present (a vacuum) early for a hostage exchange. Her vacuum is now in the back of my car with her suitcases but it's one step closer to home.
Monday and Wednesday I locked myself out of my room. Not only is it the first time I've done it all year, I've also been the RA on call both times. Speaking of being on call, one of the RAs in our building recently left and the rest of us had to pick up her shifts. So now I'm on call three times during finals week and two of the three overlap so I'll be on call for 48 hours straight. My on calls haven't been bad though. I've only had three lockouts I've had to respond to and no major incidents where I was the RA on call. We did lose a washer door though, but like I said I wasn't the one on call.
I don't have anything too crazy coming up. I'm visiting my foster sister Saturday and I've got some assignments due but not much else.
So funny about the vacuum. Your mother was hilarious for doing that. But, yay for an early Christmas gift! :)
