Week 13

I definitely forgot to submit a blog last week, so I'll have just a little bit more to talk about in this one. I am so excited for Thanksgiving break! I need a week where I can just lock myself in my room and get ahead. I have a whole to-do list and I'm hoping to set myself up for the last three weeks of the semester. I'm sure travel plans will get sprung on me last minute so my goal is to get as much done as I can the first couple of days.

Last week I worked with Lasya, who is on the PRoud Council with me, to come up with ideas for social media posts for Universal Human Rights month in December. We worked well with each other and came up with a good amount of content to spread throughout the month.

This past week has been super busy with our in-state firm trip Wednesday and the Multicultural Fair Sunday. I had fun on the in-state trip even though by the end I was so exhausted and socially worn out. I definitely missed my classes the next morning, which was more on me than it was on the trip. The Multicultural Fair was a whole other animal and by the time I got to my room Sunday night I was ready to pass out.

Sunday, I got to King Horn at 2:30 p.m. and was on my feet running around until 8:00 p.m. I know I complained quite a bit about trying to plan everything but honestly it was all worth it. There were so many beautiful displays and fun performances, and I had an amazing time. It took me forever to get all of the pictures and videos uploaded into the Google Drive and I've been ignoring their existence because I don't want to organize everything.

WSO had another event Wednesday, Internation Candy Day. We had over 150 people come and try candy from around the world. I tried some of the candy and my favorites were from Nigeria and Sweden.

Needless to say, I'm excited to have some downtime, get ahead, see family and hopefully indulge in some hobbies.
