Last Week!!

I definitely forgot to do my blog for the past two weeks which absolutely sucks. Quite a bit has happened including Evan and I's anniversary, client presentations, promotion interviews and starting the process of getting my cat on campus!

Evan and I celebrated our first anniversary December 1. We had spent the week traveling for Thanksgiving, so we decided to spend the day preparing for the week ahead. Later in the evening, we went and saw Moana 2 together at the Ada Theatre. We both really enjoyed the movie and thought it did a good job of building off of the original. I didn't think the music was great which is probably because they chose a different composer.

After we got back from break, we had client presentations, and I thought everyone did an amazing job! I know each group had their own struggles with their client but in the end we all delivered a good final product and foundation with what we were given. During my presentation I was nervous it wasn't going well because it felt like we were droning on. Then at the end when our clients and Dr. Aggie didn't have very many questions it threw me off and made me feel like we messed something up. Luckily, it was just the anxiety of the presentation getting to me.

Last Friday, I had my promotion interview for Residence Life. I applied to become the Senior Resident Assistant of Lima Complex and I'm really hoping I get the position. I think I fielded all of the interview questions well, but I should have done more research about the SRA position before going in for my interview. Beforehand, I knew the basic roles and responsibilities of an SRA, but I wasn't knowledgeable enough to properly answered all of the questions I was asked. However, the presentation I prepared did a good job of covering my experiences so far and I asked good follow up questions at the end. We should be getting results over winter break, so fingers crossed I get good news!

Finally, I've been working on getting my cat Dina on campus as an ESA. I have almost all of the paperwork filled out and she's almost up to date on her shots. I took her to a vet clinic at Tractor Supply on Sunday where she got the three shots she needed. I have to take her back in January to get boosters on two of them but afterwards I should get the all-clear to bring her on campus!

Up next is winter break where I'll get to spend time with family, take a J-Term class and prepare for the upcoming semester. I'm wishing everyone good luck on their finals, happy holidays and safe travels!
